Archibald Motely

The first impression about the exhibit was amazing. There has Holum, Caliente and Paris Blues. His most paintings described the club life and people celebrate together, dancing, drinking  and talking. In fact, I prefer Archibald Motley’s works, and  I only remember his works.  About Paris Blues, Archibald Motley spent 1929-30 in Paris, France on a Guggenheim Fellowship.  Also, Motley was not the only African American in jazz age Paris; indeed by fellow visual artists, entertainers, intellectuals, and other of African ancestry.
